Our Process.

  • 1 - Enquire & Send Us the Patient Details

For each patient you’d like to book, please contact us with the following details:

    - Patient name and date of birth

    - Your clinic location

    - Name of the treating dentist

    - Preferred appointment times and dates (multiple options welcome)

    - Estimated length of the procedure

Email us at admin@qlddentalsedations.com.au or call 0492 993 700 to organise the booking.

  • 2 — Pre‑Admission Forms

Once a patient is booked, we email them a pre‑admission form to complete as well as their invoice for the sedation. This form includes medical history, medications, allergies and support person details. It is important that the patient completes this form before the procedure.

  • 3 — Sedation Assessment

After the form is submitted, we will reviews the information and we contact the patient for a short medical assessment. This is usually done over the phone and roughly 1 week prior to their procedure date.

If you’re not certain whether sedation is appropriate for a patient, just send through their medical history and we’ll organise a brief consult with the sedationist to review everything.

  • 4 — On the Day

Dr Ryan will arrive early to complete final checks, set up equipment and confirm fasting status and support person arrangements. The procedure begins once all safety checks are complete.

  • 5 — Recovery & Discharge

Patients recover in the procedure room or another space provided. Recovery usually takes 30–60 minutes, and the sedationist stays with the patient until they are stable and ready to go home.

  • Logistics & Clinical Workflow

Recovery: Most patients recover in the procedure room, but if your clinic has a spare room, we can transfer them there. A second room is helpful, especially when running multiple sedation cases.

Minimum caseload: We prefer to have at least a half-day (4 hours) of work at your location. Smaller caseloads can be arranged depending on availability.

Post-procedure follow-up: We will phone the patient the next day to check on their recovery and overall experience.

We’re always happy to tailor arrangements to suit your practice’s needs and support your patients with safe, professional IV sedation care.
